Connect AledaMail
AledaMail sends delivery events to EmailShift as they happen, so this is the fastest connection for real-time detection.
Steps
- In EmailShift, go to Connections → New connection → AledaMail.
- Enter the address of your AledaMail installation and a read-only API token. The connection form explains where to create the token in AledaMail.
- EmailShift checks the token. A token that can change data in AledaMail is refused: EmailShift only needs to read.
- Copy the webhook URL and signing secret shown after connecting into the EmailShift settings in AledaMail.
Checking that it works
The connection page shows when the last event arrived. Send a test message from AledaMail; the event should appear within a minute or two.
Good to know
- Webhook requests are signed. Requests with a wrong signature or an old timestamp are rejected, and repeated failures show up as a security notification.
- You can rotate the signing secret on the connection page at any time.
