Getting started
EmailShift watches your sending, your domains and the signals from Gmail, Microsoft and Yahoo, and tells you what changed, why, and what to do. Setting it up takes about fifteen minutes.
1. Create your organization
After signing up and confirming your email address, create an organization for your company. The onboarding asks a few questions about how you send (volume, platforms, domains, what worries you most). Your answers set sensible defaults; you can change everything later.
2. Connect your email platform
Go to Connections and connect the platform you send with: AledaMail, HubSpot or Klaviyo. This is what powers the dashboard and the real-time detection. All connections are read-only.
3. Add your sending domains
Under Domains, add every domain you send from and verify it. EmailShift then checks SPF, DKIM and DMARC and keeps checking them. See Add and verify a domain.
4. Turn on DMARC reports
Each domain page shows your personal DMARC report address. Add it to your DMARC record and EmailShift starts receiving reports from mailbox providers, usually within a day. See DMARC reports.
5. Decide where alerts go
Alerts arrive in the app and by email. Under Alerts → Settings you can add Slack or a webhook, set quiet hours and choose how sensitive real-time detection should be. See Alerts.
What happens next
- The dashboard fills as events arrive from your platform.
- Real-time volume checks need a few weeks of history to learn what is normal for each weekday and hour. Attack and burst detection works from day one.
- Every Monday you can receive a weekly report.
