Connect HubSpot

EmailShift reads HubSpot's email events (delivered, bounced, deferred, dropped and so on) and checks for new events every few minutes.

Steps

  1. In HubSpot, create a private app for EmailShift. Give it only the read access listed on the EmailShift connection form.
  2. Copy the private app's access token.
  3. In EmailShift, go to Connections → New connection → HubSpot and paste the token.

After connecting, EmailShift loads the last 30 days of events, so the dashboard is not empty on day one.

Good to know

  • EmailShift respects HubSpot's rate limits and slows down automatically when asked to.
  • If the token is revoked or loses access, the connection shows Reauthorization required and the account owner is notified.
  • Deferrals and bounces are attributed to the receiving mailbox provider, never to HubSpot.
