Add and verify a domain

Add every domain that appears in the From address of your mail.

Steps

  1. Go to Domains → Add domain and enter the domain, for example example.com.
  2. EmailShift shows a TXT record to prove you control the domain. Add it at your DNS provider exactly as shown.
  3. Click Verify. DNS changes can take a few minutes to become visible.

What EmailShift checks

Once verified, EmailShift checks the domain regularly and alerts you when something changes:

  • SPF: valid record, not too many lookups
  • DKIM: each configured selector has a valid key (see DKIM selectors)
  • DMARC: a record exists, and which policy it sets
  • MX and BIMI, where relevant

Each domain page also shows the DMARC reports, whether the domain is ready for p=reject, and the Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft sender requirements.
